No. 7 Nail Polishes - Review

Hello,

If you've been reading my blog for a while, I think it's clear that I love nail polishes. I love to try out new colours and brands, but I honestly cannot believe that I only tried the No. 7 nail polishes just recently. They have taken over as my favourite nail polishes from the Maybelline Colour Show polishes - and as many of you will know that they were my favourite so that's saying something because I really love them!!

I really like the formula of these nail polishes you could get away with wearing one coat but I tend to wear two coats to get a even stronger colour and with the more glittery/ shimmery colours I would recommend two coats. They dry extremely quick, which I love, quicker than any other nail polish I have used. I also like the finish that these nail polishes give, it's super smooth and glossy.

On to the colours I own:

Black Patient (photo - 1 coat) - I have written about this colour in some of my previous blog posts. It's a very glossy, shiny black colour. It's something that you can wear simply on it's own, the glossiness (is that even a word..?!) makes it stand out  and look amazing on its own, or you could add a glittery sequin polish on top - this is something that you are all aware I love!

Star Shower (photo - 2 coats) - Such a pretty name for a very pretty nail polish! This is a grey nail polish with shimmery gold and blue undertones. I love the colour of this polish and the way it sparkles in the light. The only criticism I have towards this particular nail polish is that you do need more than one coat to get a strong colour.

Highland Mist  (photo - 1 coat) - This nail polish was my newest addition to my No. 7 nail polish collection. It is a pinky-brown nude colour and is really beautiful and quite subtle on your nails. This one is the least shiny out of the three I own but I think it really works with this colour.

These are all from the Stay Perfect range (£6.00 +) and claim to be a 'Quick Drying ultra glossy finish' nail polish and I totally agree!

Thankyou for reading. I have a few reviews that I want to do so I'll be trying to spread them out during the next couple of months. Goodbyee.

Haul - January 2015

Hello,

Today I am going to be showing you the items I have brought over January. I know everyone says this but I'm not bragging, I wanted to show you the products because I find these types of blog posts interesting and helpful.

First I'm going to show you the products I've got that fit in the Makeup / Skincare category. The first thing I got was the Lush 'Cupcake' (£6.50) face mask. These are my favourite face masks as they make my skin feel really refreshed. The Cupcake one is good for teenage skin and it's chocolate flavoured (flavoured... is that the right word?). Then in Superdrug I picked up the 'Simple makeup remover' (£3.39); I always buy this one as I have really sensitive skin and this doesn't effect it.

I went to pick up the 'Witch blemish stick' (£2.69) as my sister had it and she really likes it and I also saw that they had a Concealer (£4.29) as well so I thought I would try that out. It's meant to cover but also help get rid of blemishes; I'm going to review both of these so keep an eye out for that as they are really good products. The last two things are from Maybelline. I picked up the 'Maybelline Dream Lumitouch Highlighting Concealer' (£6.99) this is good for putting under your eyes as it really brightens them; the only thing I would say is that it has a brush applicator and I found that really hard to get my head around at first. Also from Maybelline I brought their 'Linefine Expression Kajal Kohl Liner' in Brown (£2.99), I wanted a eyeliner for when I don't want to wear a harsh black eyeliner.

(sorry about the photo, I didn't know how to photograph the clothes and the lighting is awful...)

Onto clothes items. The first thing I got was this light pink jumper from H&M (£7.99). I love the fit. I got it is a size bigger than I would normally do, I think I will wear it with the sleeves rolled.

The second clothing item I got was a pair of black Jeggings (£14.99). My old black jeans were really washed out so I needed to pick up a new pair, but all the jeans were 'super skinny' and for some reason they were really tight around my ankles so I opted for some jeggings.  I have a pair of these already, in a lighter colour, and they are so comfortable.

Into the this that don't really fit in any category. After Christmas I made an amazon order; I got 5 Seconds of Summers 'LIVESOS' album (£7.00) - I love it, it's basically a mini concert in your own home! I also ordered a new phone case (£2.69), I have the white iPhone 4s and this case is just a basic blue-green tinted case, its not a solid case so you can see the back of the phone through it which I really like. (I'll link it here.)

I had a Waterstones voucher so I picked up two books in there. The first is 'The Book Thief' (£7.99) - this is one of my favourite film so I wanted to read the book as well. Can we take a moment to appreciate how photogenic this book is, I love the vintage design. The second book is 'Fangirl' (£6.99) I heard Eve Bennett (I'll link her Youtube here.) talk about this in one of her videos and it sounds really good.

In Primark I picked up some of their bobby pins/hair grips, they are only £1 so you can't rally go wrong. Back when I was in Superdrug I also got the 'Batiste Dry Shampoo' (£2.99) in the original scent, I really like this so far!

Thankyou for reading. See you next time. Don't forget to follow social media (I am constantly on them..!!) goodbye.

My Favourite Nail Polish Combination

Hello,

I know this is going to be a short post but I have been really loving this nail polish combination recently (well in the school holidays... we're not allowed nail polish at school) and wanted to share it with you.

I used Makeup Revolutions 'Are you still available?' (12) nail polish. I love this colour, I'm not the best at describing colours but I would say it's a slightly grey, purple shade - it's my favourite shade of purple. I also added Essie's 'Sparkle on top' on top of the purple shade. I am loving obsessed with glitter top coats at the moment, and I fell in love with this as soon as I got it. It a clear nail polish and it contains shards of white glitter; which in certain light look blue.

It's such an easy nail design to do and I think it looks really nice. It also stayed on for a long time without chipping, which is a good thing!

Essie - Sparkle on Top (from the Naughty or Nice? Duo):

Makeup Revolution - Are you still available?:

Thank you for reading.  Sorry it's quite short but it's the first week back at school so I haven't had much time to write a lot. See you next time, byee

Remember Your 2015

Hello,

So this is my first post of 2015!! Although the first few days of 2015 have past, it's still not too late to use these ideas. I have done these three things in the past and / or I'm going to do them this year, and they are lovely to look back on at the end of the year.

Idea 1 - Memory Jar

I'm pretty sure this idea won't be new to most of you. I have never made a memory jar before so I am very excited to give this a go this year. All you need is a jar and strips of paper. If you want you could decorate your jar with ribbon, lace, tag or stickers. I brought this jar from Evolution, (mine came with the ribbon) I love this sort of thing and I knew I had to pick it up, but I did add the '2015' tag.

If you are unsure what a memory jar is, basically you write something that has happened this year on a piece of paper, put the date on it, fold it up and put it in the jar; then at the end of you open up the jar and read the bits of paper. I really like this idea.

Idea 2 - Personal Photo Book

All I did was use a note book and collage each page with photos, tickets and pretty paper. This is defiantly for people who are arty but also have quite a lot of time to do the pages. I did this in 2013 and I would love to make one again but I never have time with school work.

I like this type of photo book as it adds a personal touch, rather than a normal photo album or not printing photos out at all (like me oops..).  This could also be a good idea if you have any polaroid photos and don't know what to do with them.

Idea 3 - Memory Board

The third idea is to pin photos, tickets etc. onto a pin board. I have started this and will be continuing to add to it in 2015. This is just full of memories and it is a really nice way to display you old tickets etc. that you don't want to throw away. It is also a nice thing to make you room feel more personal to you.

Thankyou for reading. Best of luck for 2015. I am now going back to my normal every Sunday post routine and am currently taking requests for blog posts ideas, so feel free to comment them below or on Instagram. One last thing, I created a twitter account yesterday so I would love it if you could follow me on there my username is @megansw0rld (there is a link on the right side of this blog).  See you Sunday, byee.
