Monochrome OOTD

Hello,

Todays post will be a Outfit of the Day designed for warm Summer/Spring weather.

Shorts | Primark £4

Top | New Look (No longer available)

Shoes | New Look (Similar) £12.99

Cardigan | Primark £10

Bracelet | Amazon (Similar) £2.50

This outfit is perfect for warm weather. I have tucked a black and white Aztec patterned top loosely into a pair of black loose shorts. This was a bit out of my comfort zone, as I would normally wear a pair of denim shorts. However this year I wanted to stop just wearing denim in the Spring/Summer months. I don't normally buy loads in Primark but recently they seem to have a great selection of shorts in a range of styles. I find these shorts super comfortable and would be great for hot weather, also for trips to the beach. I paired them with a patterned top - making the outfit a bit more interesting.

As shown in the last photo this outfit can also look good with a white cardigan. I have chosen a white knit cardigan from Primark. This is not a thick cardigan, as it is made from a thin material perfect for Spring. Wearing this would be a good idea in Britain's unpredictable weather; however it may not always be necessary.

Thank you for reading. I'm sorry the links are not very useful, I tried my best. Some shops probably do similar items hopefully.

Room Decorations

Hello,

Welcome back to my blog. So, today I though I would share with you some room decoration ideas; these are the sorts of things I have done to my room and loved :)

One thing I have been loving to do is adding cushions to my bed. This is comfy and looks pretty; as I spend a lot of time in my room - I'm guessing I'm not the only one! The cushions you choose could be seasonal and the photos above are of two cushions I consider to be great colours for spring and summer. (I have made these myself, so I may do a simple cushion tutorial in the future?)

My second room must have, is candles. 'Lemon Lavender' is by far my favourite Yankee Candle scent. Candles not only smell great but I also think they look really cute around my room - most of my candles are white, pink, cream and purple to match my room. The candle holder is perfect for tea lights and Yankee Candle samplers. I love the bird cage style. I brought this from Asda and you can stand it up (like I have) or hang it.

I also think that photo frames and pictures make your room a lot more personal. These frames hang really nicely on my wall; I think they are really cute and I love the 'worn/old' style wood that has been used for these. The hanging frames I have photographed were from Sainsbury's (not available online) but I think you can get a similar single frame in Primark. I do also have some basic square standing frames but these are old so I'm not sure where I got them from (Sorry). I also think that getting different colour frames can look great and adds a bit of variety - I have wooden, black and red frames.

And finally... I have recently purchased some fake flowers for my room. I think that this is really cute and makes my room look extra spring and summery. I brought these flowers from Hobbycraft - white £1.39 and pink £0.99.  Obviously you don't have to buy fake flowers but I have because its easier and they will last a long time; making it cheaper. I have placed the flowers in a Latte glass from Dunelm Mill (Similar to the glasses in Costa) and have filled the glass with marbles - you could also use the plant pot topper stone things (I don't know what they are called!). This gives it a unique look. I think that using a glass milk bottle would also look great, but it all really depends on what flowers you are buying.

Thank you for reading. Feel free to leave any post requests in the comments. See you next week :)

Maybelline Colour Show - Review

Hello,

Today I am going to review the Maybelline Colour Show nail polishes. They are by far my favourite drugstore polishes and I highly recommend them.

L-R: Glitter it, Lavender Lies, Coral Craze & Cool Blue

For only £2.99 these nail polishes last so long without chipping. You only need one coat to get a bold colour - this can save a lot of time. I have also found that these nail polishes dry very quickly compared to other brands and if (like me) you hate waiting for you nails to dry these are definitely worth buying. Also, when taking the nail polish off I find this a lot easier to do unlike other nail polishes I own.

However, my only problem with these nail polishes are that there are not a huge number of colours (UK), I find this really annoying as they are my favourite.

One coat!!!

Finally, I do love the packaging of these nail polishes. It is clear to see what colour it is and is clearly labelled and as an added bonus they all have names - Although this isn't important I do prefer the product to have a name rather to when it only has a number. (but they would still be my favourite anyway!)

Boots: Only a few colours are available online so I didn't bother linking it.

Haul ♡

Hello,

I have been shopping a lot recently, so I want to show you some of the things I brought.

Tanya Burr Nail Polish (Riding Hood) £5.99

I watch a lot of YouTube and ever since Tanya announced her nail and lip collection I really wanted to get a nail polish. So recently I went into Superdrug and picked up a red nail polish 'Riding Hood'. Although this isn't a Spring pastel colour, I wanted to get a non pastel nail polish as I have brought/have a lot of them already. These nail polishes are really good and you only need one coat! I love the names Tanya has given them too.

Hanging Wicker Hearts £2.00

I have also been adding 'decorative things' to my room. I brought this in Primark. I think its a really pretty and it's white so can go with basically everything. Adding little things to your room can be a great way to change the way your room looks without having to redecorate.

Maybelline Colour Show Nail Polish (Glitter it) £2.99

Maybelline Colour Show is my favourite nail polish. I brought this glitter polish because it is great for ombré nails or for a alternative top coat. This can also be used all year round.

Curve Hem Shell £6.99

I brought both of these tops from New Look. I picked up the first top because it is a basic Spring/Summer top. It also adds a bit of colour to my wardrobe as I discovered that most of my tops are either black, white or grey. It is very light, simple and lose but not too thin and the material is so soft making it super comfortable.

Tropical Crochet £12.99

This top is the same style as the top I was wearing in my Spring OOTD. I loved the white version and had to go back to pick up another in this style. The top has a tropical flower pattern with a cream crochet hem. This isn't the type of top I would normally pick up but I like the way this looks on me - which I was very surprised about. I think this is perfect for Summer.

MUA Nail Polish (Pistachio Ice Cream) £1

If you haven't guessed already I have a slight obsession with buying nail polish. This nail polish from MUA has been my favourite nail polish of the month. I had been wanting to pick up a mint green colour for a while and for only a £1 you can't really fault this product. As I have mentioned before in my Spring OOTD this nail polish lasts 5 days+ without chipping but I wish MUA had a larger range of colours (UK).
